Game Service Version 4.3.0.9 Feature List
Destroyer Command & Silent Hunter II Interoperability
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a first in computer gaming, allowing players of two different products to compete against each other on the same "virtual battlefield". When hosting or joining a game, the player can now choose to start either Destroyer Command or Silent Hunter II (assuming they own both Ubi Soft products). Once in a game Destroyer Command players will be in the same world as Silent Hunter II players.
Ping System Updates
---------------------------
The ping times have been changed to reflect the actual ping time between yourself and the other players on the service. Previously the pings showed only the connection time to our game service. The ping times now displayed in the game service depend on which lobby you are in as follows:
- MAIN LOBBY (Player List): The ping displayed reflects the ping between you and that user
- MAIN LOBBY (Game Sessions): The ping displayed now reflects the ping between you and the player who created the session
- SESSION LOBBY (Player List): The ping displayed reflects the ping between each player and the host.
Game Session Views
--------------------------
The session window showing the available games now defaults to a detailed list view that can be sorted to find the fastest game or an available session. You can sort the game sessions by clicking on the column headings which include Room Name, Player (# of players/total), Status (Full or join), Ping, Game Version, and Compatibility
To change views, right click in the session window area select "View" and choose either Large Icons or Details.
- Detailed View is Default
- The default sort is by Ping, starting from best on top going to worst on bottom.
Chat
------
It is now possible to ignore chat messages from a specific user in the lobby windows by right clicking on the player name in the player list and selecting Ignore chat messages.
Version Information
--------------------------
The ubi.com Game Service now displays extensive version information and dates for the program executable, DLLs and low level libraries. To get this info, right click on the ubi.com icon in the tool tray and select settings and then the version tab.
